Daddy's back from the conference and he brought me a ball.


Mom is thrilled that someone else can play with me inside the fire engine. A few years ago she and dad bought this pop up fire engine for cousin Rod and I just love it.

Moonstone Beach

I grew up in Northern California, land of big trees and frigid frigid beaches. When we were kids mom would sometimes dress us in our snow suits to take us to the beach. There are warm days, though, where you can get away with wearing your swimsuits as long as you put a hoodie on over it.

No Movie No

Keva and I went to see a movie tonight while Kale hung out with Alex, Kim and David. He loves their toys and playing with them so he was quite excited the whole way we were driving there and was chanting their names. Two or three minutes before we parked I reminded Kale that Mummy and Daddy were going out to a movie while he played. He took on a very serious tone of voice and "Mama no movie no." Keva tries hard not to laugh while I am worried that the drop off isn't going to be as smooth as anticipated. Kale continues to chant "no movie no" until we get out of the car but the excitement was too much and he didn't even notice us leave.

A rare full family shot

We drove up to Whistler yesterday for a wedding and our friend David snapped this picture of us after the ceremony. Kale doesn't look super happy but I couldn't resist a shot where we were all together.


It was interesting in Whistler during the summer for the first time. I was disappointed to learn about Mountain biking though. I had always thought people rode their bikes up and then back down. I never knew they took the chair lift up and then biked down runs (greens, blues and blacks just like skiing). Mountain bikers are no longer quite so tough in my mind.
