Week 2

We went in for our two week visit with the midwives today. George has grown to 10lbs 15 oz already and is doing well. His jaundice has faded away and his is doing fantastic. Here are some photos from the past week.

George - Week 1

Welcome George Cohen!!

Kale is eager to announce the birth of his younger brother George Cohen Moskowitz

Georgie was born at home yesterday morning, July 9th, at 7:49am.
Weighing in at 9 lbs 10 oz, he is almost as big as his big brother was.
Molly is thrilled to have accomplished a home VBAC and is still feeling high.
Keva and Molly are in love with both of their boys.

We've been busy!

Sorry for neglecting our web site for so long.  We've been busy!  I recently got a new computer and just downloaded a few months worth of photos from the camera.  I'll start by putting up a few recent pictures after this post.

There is something about a sleeping baby

Kale fell asleep in the car today on the way home from Ikea. When I took him out of the carseat his water bottle was upside down and his pants were soaking wet. I popped into bed anyway but 20 minutes he woke up and asked me to take off his shoes and pants and put him under the covers. He zonked right out again with one leg poking through for temperature control.

Just another manic Monday

Monday morning means playgroup and we have been having a lot of fun this summer. With the weather nice we get to play in water, dirt and sand. Plus painting can be a bit more exuberant. You can see that Kale and Sadie have left the paper behind.

Hey you, wanna fight?

I remember The Grouchy Ladybug (by Eric Carle) as a child -- it was always one of my favorite books. For those who don't know, it's about a grouchy ladybug who meets animals of increasing size (from other bugs up to a whale) and exclaims "Hey you - wanna fight? Oh, you're not big enough."


Recently, I started reading it to Kale. He is totally enthralled by it and has taken the whole story to heart. So, it shouldn't have surprised me at all when were grocery shopping last night (after reading the book):

Kale looked at the first customer we passed in the store - a polite-looking lady - and exclaimed to her "Hey you - wanna fight?" I looked terribly embarrassed and asked Kale to apologize to her. He looked back and her and said at top volume "HEY YOU - WANNA FIGHT? HEY YOU - WANNA FIGHT?? HEY YOU - WANNA FIGHT???"

Fortunately, she thought this was very amusing and broke into a boxing stance. Kale laughed and buried his head in my shoulder.
