Cheese and Crackers

Kale realized that when I eat cheese and crackers I put the cheese on the cracker. Being the little emulator he now puts his cheese slices on his crackers. But there the similarity ends. Kale sucks the cheese off the cracker and then loads on another slice. The cracker is a bit soggy at the end but it never gets eaten.

Salt Spring Vacation

We used the second half of Keva's comp time to check out Salt Spring Island. We had a lovely time hiking, tide pooling and just hanging out. There was even a great surprise when we found an Italian restaurant that served Gluten Free Pasta. Lucky Mummy, Lucky Kale. Noodles are good.

Easy Street

Our first morning in Seattle we had breakfast at the Easy Street Cafe with some good friends. It was lots of fun walking through our old hood and exploring the places we used to hang out. Thanks Jen for having us to stay and living in West Seattle so we really felt at home.

On our way down to Monroe we popped in to see Great Grandma Lilly. We had a nice visit, chatting and singing songs while watching Kale explore a new environment. Kale warmed up to grandma and by the end was up for holding her hand and giving her a Kiss.

Trying on Daddy's Boots

Kale figured out how to put on Dad's boots this weekend at Jen's house and was loving it. The other thing he played with at Jen's house was her mister. He carried at all around the whole time we were visiting.

Another trip into the cupboard

He piled all the contents of the cupboard out onto the floor and then climbed right in. I know I already posted one picture but I think it is so darn cute.

Park Digger

We headed to a different park than normal today and Kale got his first go at a digger. He wasn't quite strong enough to move it until Daddy and I had softened up the dirt.

Finally interested in a leaf pile now that the leaves are old and wet. Sigh. Kale ran halfway across the large park to attack this pile.

Kid Sized Table

Kale is sitting at his new table for the first time.


While I reorganized the kitchen for the new table Kale climbed into his toy cupboard for a bit of cozy play.


Then we got to have lunch at the small table.
